Sourcing Sustainable Fabrics Made Easy

It was 2015 when I decided to take a step into the fashion manufacturing industry and were doing my first extensive research on sustainable materials. Me and my co-partner Teele headed to the Fashion SVP, the Europe’s leading sourcing show in London.

We went to explore apparel producers and the Future Fabrics Expo that is focusing on showcasing responsibly produced materials devised by The Sustainable Angle. At that time, the exhibition was small but still a good starting point — the Sustainable Angle specialises on improving the visibility of innovative textiles and materials for fashion with a reduced environmental impact.

Since then the Future Fabrics Expo has became for me the one destination to visit every year. The expo has really helped me with sourcing. For example, the organic silk by Seidentraum that my brand KiRiVOO is using to produce womens neckwear has just an amazing quality. I can not wait to see the new venue and largest ever sustainable material display, and I highly recommend this event for all who are considering sourcing sustainable fabrics and interested in working towards a more sustainable future fashion industry.

The 8th Future Fabrics Expo will be taking place on the 24–25th January 2019 at Victoria House in Central London. Click here to find out more or buy your tickets.
